Join host Drew Mulhare, FCHOA General Manager, for the quarterly open forum opportunity to talk with the MA and Board about what's on your mind. You can walk in at any time during the scheduled time. RSVP’s are not needed.

 

A key objective for the Board in 2026 is to build stronger, mutually rewarding relationships with strategic partners such as the Ford’s Colony Country Club, the Marriot Manor Club, and the James City County government. Read the attached letter to learn about the community wide goal for strengthening strategic relationships and HOA Board actions.

 

Learn how to navigate the programs and mobile apps and get your questions answered. Feel free to bring your phone, laptop, or tablet and your username and password if you would like to be on your device during the presentation. Please arrive about 15 minutes early to get your device set up. Reservations are not required, but to help us set up enough tables, please send an email to questions@fchoa.net if you plan to attend.

Update - TOMORROW'S GFL PICKUP IS RECYCLING
Please email rvawphoasupport@gflenv.com or call 804-843-9288 for the HOA Contract division of GFL. Additionally, you can click on the "TRASH and RECYCLING" link in the REFERENCE section at the end of every What's Happening In Ford's Colony email to find all of the information regarding the trash and recycling services.

Reminder - JUNE SOFT PLASTICS AND SNEAKERS DAY

 

* Please note that we will not hold a collection on July 4th due to the Ford’s Colony Parade.

 

As long as it is not raining, we will collect sneakers, in any condition, tied together, for refurbishing and recycling. We also collect SOFT plastic including grocery, mulch, produce, and Ziploc bags. We cannot accept bottles, clamshells, foam, or plastic that does not stretch (i.e. candy wrappers, dog food bags, and dollar store plastic tablecloths). Come out for the first Pool and Tunes of the summer. Music by Back Porch Swing and a Food Truck on site.

 

 

Kids and parents dress up your bikes, wagons or pets and walk along Westbury Hills. Special ceremony and 250th memento for the first 250 attendees. Yummy Dominion Dogs food vendor from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

New - PORCH MONTHLY FOOD DRIVE
Have you registered yet to be a PORCH donor? Join us in making a difference for the hungry in our Williamsburg community by registering to be a donor. In May we collected over 1600 pounds of food which was donated to FISH. If you are interested in registering or need more information, please email Marie Phillips at mariephillips88@gmail.com with your name and address.

CARING NEIGHBORS NEEDS DRIVERS
Transportation Services is a free transportation service provided by Ford's Colony resident volunteer drivers for Ford's Colony residents who cannot drive themselves to and from medical or other appointments in the Williamsburg area. 

 

If you are interested in becoming one of our volunteer drivers, please contact the coordinator at transportation.fchoa@gmail.com to sign up. It’s simple and a great way to meet your neighbors! 

 

 

Reading is the cornerstone of education and providing children with stories helps them reach the goal of becoming great readers. Reading specialist, literacy coach, and author Christina Shaw is coming to Ford’s Colony next month and will introduce your children or grandchildren to the books she has written and provide crafts and a Q&A for parents and grandparents about ways to help kids embrace reading.

 

Christina’s books will be available for personalization and signed by Christina at her presentation. Attendees can purchase either of her current titles at the event ($20 each) or buy books in advance at a favorite bookseller and bring them to the event. You don’t want to miss this one!

 

New - BLOOD DRIVE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Ford's Colony is in need of additional volunteers to help with registration and to act as refreshment table hosts at the monthly Red Cross Blood Drives at the S&T.

 

Blood drives are held the 4th Friday of each month. Volunteers work in half day shifts and do not need to commit to participate every month. For more information, contact Gail White at gailwhite49@gmail.com or 603-494-6159.

 

If you are not able to volunteer, please consider donating blood. The blood supply is critical in the summer months.
