Next Newcomers Night Out September 20
Friday, September 20th, 6:30 p.m. at S&T Club
At our next Newcomers “Night Out” will be September 20.  Betsy Keogan, by very popular demand, will present another “Bingo Challenge”, a hugely entertaining way to learn even more little known tips and tricks to make living in Williamsburg less frustrating and more enjoyable. At the same time, acquaint yourself with our “mini clubs” such as Mix and Mingle; Wine and Dine; BYOB; Lunch Groups; and Book Clubs which are a great way to forge new friendships within the Colony.

Members of the tennis club pair off for a mixed doubles tennis social with 2 Rivers Country Club.
 
Beat the Summer Dog Days - Sign up for Travel Club Fall Trips
Thursday, October 3rd
On October 3, plan on visiting Mount Vernon, George and Martha Washington’s Plantation, where you will tour the mansion, gardens, grounds, family tomb and museum, then maybe check out the distillery. It's Party time! All Ford's Colony residents are welcome to join in the fun on Tuesday October 8 at the S&T Club from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. We are featuring Taste of Love who have delighted audiences on Carnival Cruise Lines, Yorktown Wine Festival and venues throughout Virginia and Florida. They cover popular hits that span the decades from the 1960's up to the present and are sure to keep you dancing all night. Even if you don't dance, come and enjoy their music. If you missed them last time, come and see what the excitement is about! Cost: $5 for Club members, $10 each non-members. BYOB. Light snacks provided. Ford's Colony Yard Sale
Saturday, October 12th, 8 a.m. to Noon at 312 Waller Mill Road - Historic Triangle Community Center
If you would like to be a vendor at the yard sale, payments need to be dropped off at the John Pott Guardhouse. Include in the envelope your name and phone number along with a payment of $20 in cash or check made payable to Phyllis Eastman. Payment must be received no later than September 12. Set up for vendors on the day of the yard sale will be 6 to 8 a.m. Questions may be sent to Phyllis Eastman at reastman2003@verizon.net.
 
W&M Campus Tree Walk
Saturday, October 12th, 8:45 a.m. to noon at Meet at Westbury Parking Lot
The Trailblazers will meet at 8:45 a.m. at the Westbury parking lot and travel to W&M for a leisurely walk around the campus as we learn about interesting woody specimens. A diverse collection of trees has been planted throughout the college's history, and particularly by Dr. Baldwin, a biology professor from 1946-1974. AARP SmartDriver Course
Monday, November 11th at S&T Club
Mondays, November 11 and 18, 2019.  Must attend both days. Each session will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 5 p.m.  However, for the opening day, participants must arrive by 12:45 p.m. to allow enough time to complete the registration process before the session starts. AARP SmartDriver members need to bring card for discount.  All attendees need to bring drivers license. $15 Members/ $20 Non-members.  Contact: Jack Oates at 757-645-4321 or jackoates@cox.net.
