If you are looking for a shady path to walk this summer, check out the Ford’s Colony Nature Trail. The Nature Trail has completely reopened. RPM staff replaced about approximately 625’ of boardwalk was replaced, and the new boardwalk looks beautiful.
LEISURE TRAIL REPAIRSStaff began removing sections of asphalt that are damaged by roots on the leisure trail last week and will continue over the next couple of months. A contractor will follow behind staff to fill these sections in with asphalt typically 2-3 days after removal, but weather and asphalt availability could prolong this process. While this project is underway, cones will section off the portions of the asphalt that were removed. Please use caution while this work takes place and be prepared to go off the path in these areas.

New - CARING NEIGHBORS NEEDS DRIVERS
Transportation Services is a free transportation service provided by Fords Colony resident volunteer drivers for Fords Colony residents who cannot drive themselves to and from medical or other appointments in the Williamsburg area.
If you are interested in becoming one of our volunteer drivers, please contact the coordinator at
transportation.fchoa@gmail.com to sign up. How the program works - when a request for a ride is received an email is sent to all volunteer drivers with all specifics of the requested ride (appointment address, time and length of time, etc.). If a driver is able to assist, they email the coordinator and confirm their availability. The coordinator sends the final confirmation to the driver. The driver contacts the ride requester to set up the ride. It’s that simple and a great way to meet your neighbors!
