-Pedestrians are encouraged to ensure it is safe before crossing the street
-Pay attention to traffic
-Walk on the sidewalk whenever possible
-At cross streets, crosswalks or intersections, look for cars in all directions. (Your mother was right. You should always look both ways before crossing the street!)
-Remember that motorists might not see you
-Wear bright clothes

New - MONTHLY BLOOD DRIVE
Friday, May 22 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | S&T Club
This May, the American Red Cross wants people to celebrate more life and give blood. Kick off summer the right way and help patients in need.

Show off your donor pride at the pool, lake or beach this summer with an oversized Red Cross beach towel! Score one when you come to give blood May 18-31, while supplies last.

Red blood cells are the most-needed blood component for trauma patients, helping replace blood volume lost to hemorrhaging. Please give blood during Trauma Awareness Month in May to support trauma patients and others with serious medical conditions. Don’t wait, schedule your donation appointment today.

For this drive where Power Red is collected, eligible donors with types O, B negative or A negative blood are encouraged to make a Power Red donation. You can provide twice the lifesaving power with each Power Red donation. During this type of donation, red blood cells are separated from other blood components, and the plasma and platelets are returned to the donor.

If you are able to give, please visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS to set up and appointment.
