FCHOA NEWS

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR HOA?
A few minutes for your thoughts will help build a stronger Ford's Colony! In Ken Spencer’s September 3, 2026 email, the Ford’s Colony Homeowners Association Board of Directors asked for your input to the Annual HOA Residents' Satisfaction Survey.

Note that survey invitations have been sent to all for whom email addresses are available. All people receiving an invitation, even multiple adult residents from the same household, are encouraged to respond by September 28, 2026. Your input is both needed and valued. Individual responses will be confidential!

Thank you for your input - it will make our community better.

It’s time for our annual yard sale! Vendor sign up begins now and will be open until space is filled. The first 10 people to register will be provided with one 8’ table. All other sellers must bring their own equivalent sized table. (Chairs are provided.) Vendor set-up is from 2 to 3 p.m.

This information is required in order to participate. Please ask for your sign-up number when dropping off your envelope so you will know if you need to bring a table. Payment is non-refundable. CLUBS & ACTIVITIES NEWS

New - CAREGIVER'S SUPPORT GROUP
Many Ford’s Colony residents are caregivers for loved ones in their homes and in their community. This role, while necessary and admirable, can be isolating and exhausting physically and emotionally. Coming together with others who share your experience, while not minimizing your responsibilities, may provide you respite.

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP
Have you recently lost a loved one or lifelong partner? Are you struggling to determine what your “new normal” will be and how to move forward? You are not alone. Come together with other members of the Ford’s Colony community who are also experiencing a sense of loss.

Both groups will be facilitated by Marie Phillips, a licensed professional counselor. Meetings will be held on Wednesdays in the S&T Club for eleven weeks beginning October 7. The Grief Support Group will meet at 10 to 11 a.m. and the Caregiver Support Group will meet at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Space is limited to 10-12 participants for each group, so please contact Marie Phillips at 609-206-2343 or mariephillips88@gmail.com to reserve your spot.

New - FORD'S COLONY MIXED BOWLING LEAGUE
Come bowl with us! All skill levels are welcome, and the full handicap format helps level the playing field for everyone. League play is held on Monday or Tuesday afternoons, and the season runs from the last week in October through the last week of March. If you’re interested in signing up, or just want more information, contact Roy at fcmondaybowling@gmail.com for the Monday league, Sharon at fctuesdaybowling@gmail.com for the Tuesday league, or Jennifer at jkm0306@gmail.com for general inquiries.

There is also an organization meeting on Tuesday, October 6 at 12:30 p.m. at the S&T Club (NOT October 7 as was incorrectly mentioned in the flyer in the September Talk of the Colony). Following the meeting will be 2-hours of free bowling at Bowlero on Olde Towne Road. Sign up deadline is October 1.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL FIELD
The Ford’s Colony Softball Club kicked off a new season of pickup games over the weekend, but it's not too late to join the fun. Show up at Big Al Field in Westbury Park any future Saturday to join that week's pickup game. Games are at 10 a.m. with warm-ups and team assignments starting at 9:15 a.m. All ages and skill levels invited. Contact Ed Schneider at softballfordscolony@gmail.com with any questions or to be added to the weekly mailing list.
