WHAT’S HAPPENING IN FORD’S COLONY

FCHOA NEWS

New - THE FCHOA BOARD WANTS TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK
As indicated in Ken Spencer’s September 3rd email, Ford’s Colony Homeowners Association Board of Directors requests your input to the Annual Residents Satisfaction Survey. Your input is both needed and valued. Thanks for responding and enabling us to make
our community even better.

Please note that survey invitations have been sent to all for whom email addresses are available. All people receiving an invitation, even multiple adult residents from the same household, are encouraged to respond. Individual responses will be confidential!

Thank you,
FCHOA Board of Directors

Note:  Please send questions or comments to: Boardsurvey@fchoa.net

ELECTION TIME IS UPON US
Did you know that the candidates in an upcoming election are permitted in Ford’s Colony as long as certain requirements are followed? Please see the attachment of the Solicitation and Election Policy below for more details. Anyone who is concerned that there are activities inconsistent with this policy should contact Security at 757-258-4080 so that the issue can be addressed. Please remember our community's commitment to civil behavior year round.

CONTROLLING INVASIVE JAPANESE STILT GRASS
Now is the time to check your yard and remove the very invasive Japanese Stilt Grass. For small patches, hand-pulling and disposing of the plants is the most effective method of control. Larger patches may require scalping the plant by weed whacking the grass down to the roots to ensure all seeds are eliminated. Every effort to help minimize the growth of this grass will help make sure our native plants have space to thrive. The Blue Ridge Partnership Factsheet provides more information on identifying the grass, understanding its effect on the environment, and controlling its spread.

Update - TOMORROW'S GFL PICKUP IS BULK
