FCHOA NEWS
VOLUNTEER BLOCK CAPTAINS NEEDEDThe FCHOA is seeking "Block Captains" to assist neighbors with completing their ballots concerning the declaration amendment vote that started in November. The vote on these items has been extended by the Board of Directors in order to allow enough participation to determine if the community desires the changes to the declaration. Volunteers wanting to be "Block Captains" can attend an information session on Monday, January 26 at 4 p.m. in the S&T Club. If you would like to participate but cannot attend, please email
admin@fchoa.net.
1st QUARTER 2026 HOA ASSESSMENTSThe first quarter invoices are due on January 31. The new amount is $682 (comprised of $613 plus $69 for trash & recycling). Please update banking Bill Pay service amounts. If you need any assistance, please contact
admin@fchoa.net or call 757-258-4230. Account details can be viewed in the Resident Portal by clicking on View Account Detail which is the gray oval that is under the green Pay Now oval. Then on the next screen there is Print Ledger icon with a little printer that appears to the far right of the screen. You don’t need a printer attached to your device as a pdf will open on your screen that shows the details of the account charges when you click the Print Ledger icon.
SECURITY HOUSE CHECKS 2026
New House Security Check procedures are outlined in Chief Rubino's January Talk of the Colony Article. Starting February 1, there will be a $10 charge for each House Check visit by Ford’s Colony Security.
When you submit a House Check Request, you will indicate what date or dates you want a House Check visit performed. Security will do the house check(s) on the requested date(s) barring weather or emergency interruptions.
Each visit will include a security staff member walking around the exterior of your house and checking that the exterior doors are closed and locked. They will take a picture of your house to verify the visit. Subsequent drive-by checks will no longer occur.
You will receive an email stating that the visit is completed and that email will include the photo. The $10 fee will then be charged to your property’s HOA account. You can pay that fee at any time or it will be included in your quarterly assessment invoice. Late charges will only be applied if not paid by the assessment due date.
If there are any problems encountered during the visit, you will be contacted by phone. This change was approved by the Board of Directors in 2025. See Chief Rubino’s article on page 10 of the January Talk of the Colony for more information.
