Who Are We?
The Ford's Colony at Williamsburg Homeowners Association is incorporated under the laws of Virginia to provide for the management, maintenance, and care of common property in the development. The Association was established by the Declaration of Protective Covenants for Ford's Colony at Williamsburg and the Articles of Incorporation of the Association. A Board of Directors manages the Association in accordance with applicable statutes and the Bylaws of the Association. Directors are elected each February for two-year staggered terms. The Board of Directors employs Realtec Community Services, Inc. (RCS) as a Management Agent. The Agent provides and directs all personnel required to properly maintain and operate the Association; contracts for the outside purchase of services, equipment, or supplies; and maintains the records, financial and otherwise, of the Association.

Realtec Inc., as the developer of Ford's Colony, owns property used by the Association, controls architectural standards in the development, and, for a certain time, has veto power over the actions of the Board of Directors. The Ford's Colony at Williamsburg Homeowners Association received a Community Association of the Year Award from the Central Virginia Chapter of Community Associations Institute in 1998. The Association won the National Community Association of the Year Award in 1999. In 2000, the Association was inducted into the Community Association Hall of Fame. RCS, the Management Agent, is accredited by Community Associations Institute as an Accredited Association Management Company.
