Ford's Colony Model Railroad Club Library Show
Saturday, December 2nd to Sunday, December 3rd at Model Railroad Club Library Show
 
The Ford’s Colony Model Railroad Club will display seven operating model railroad layouts at its annual show at the Williamsburg Regional Library at 7770 Croaker Road in Norge.  Layouts in G, O, HO, and N scale sizes will be displayed. The display will be open Saturday, December 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, December 3 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. 
 
The library can be reached from intersection of Centerville Road/Lightfoot Post Office by taking Richmond Road west 2.7 miles to Croaker Road, then right on Croaker Road 4/10 mile to library on the right. Or, take I-64 to exit 231A, then south on Croaker Road 7/10 mile to library on the left.

Fireside with St. Nick - Colony Kids
Saturday, December 2nd, 4 - 6 p.m. at S&T Club
 
Colony Kids final event of 2017 will be "Fireside with St. Nick" on Saturday, December 2 from 4-6 p.m. at the S&T Club. Come visit with Santa, have a snowball fight, sample some of Mrs. Claus's cookies and enjoy a holiday craft and sing-a-long. Newcomers Holiday Party
Thursday, December 7th, 6 pm at Ford's Colony Country Club Garden Pavilion
Newcomers festive holiday dinner dance includes a social hour, one complimentary cocktail per person, a sit-down dinner, and dancing. Reservations by November 28 are $50 per person; after November 28, the price rises to $55 per person. Deadline for all reservations is December 1.

Jam Band - Pre-New Year's Eve Event
Saturday, December 30th, 7-9:30pm at Swim & Tennis Club
The Ford’s Colony Jam Band will be putting on a free pre-New Year’s Eve concert on Saturday, December 30th at the Swim and Tennis Club. The event will be from 7 – 9:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring your own refreshments. Guests (including youngsters) are invited to dance along, sing along or simply listen. The band’s two sets will consists of classic rock songs by: Chicago, the Beatles, the Doors, the Atlanta Rhythm Section, Tom Petty, the Blues Brothers, Blood Sweat and Tears, Eric Clapton, Steely Dan, Blues Traveler and others. Dr. Tom Durbin, FC resident and local orthopedic surgeon (shoulder, knee, sports medicine) will discuss common sports injuries and prevention. Sponsored by the Tennis Club, this program includes Q&A and light refreshments. The program is free and ALL FC residents are invited!
