Committee Openings

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee is responsible for the Talk of the Colony, managing the Ford’s Colony official website, the Ford’s Colony Living Facebook page, and the "What’s Happening in Ford’s Colony" weekly community-wide emails. Members of this committee need good writing and computer skills. At this time, our committee is particularly in need of members who wouldlike to assist with the e-communications tasks, as described above. Even if you don’t have first-hand knowledge, committee members are willing to provide training.
Volunteer Managment (VM) Committee
The VM Committee provides candidates to fill Committee and Task Force vacancies as they occur. The Committee is also responsible for the ongoing awareness process for volunteer opportunities within Ford’s Colony as well as the annual volunteer recognition events. Candidates should have good Communication skills, which may include writing and WORD skills. Our committee is responsible for the “Volunteer Spotlight” column in the Talk of the Colony.
Facilities Committee
The Facilities Committee is responsible for making recommendations regarding the maintenance, repair and upgrade of all FCHOA-owned facilities:  the Swim & Tennis Club, Community Services Building, Mechanics Shop, both Swimming Pools, both Tennis Courts, and the three Guard Houses.  The Committee also prepares and updates a Facilities Committee Master Plan that identifies needed project work and funding requirements over the next six years.
Ford's Colony Historian
Your HOA Board is looking for a volunteer to periodically update our Community History of key events and milestones. This position will initially and periodically report to the Board, who will provide some guidance as to what types of information should be catalogued for posterity.   Our “Historian” will update and maintain the history of Ford’s Colony, including its HOA governance and significant milestones.
